Seasonal helped needed for start of Fall 2020 Classes:Want to earn some money for start of the Fall semester?VBC is looking to hire seasonal workers to help with the beginning of Fall classes! We are a family business looking for punctual, hardworking, & dependable workers to join our team.
Join our temp staff and be first on our contact list for seasonal work at the beginning and end of subsequent semesters.
We will schedule around your class schedule/availability and we are specifically looking for staff with availability during the weekdays and who can work at least 15 hours a week. Employment details-Seasonal position
-Position start date: August 3rd
-Position end date: September 4th
-Work schedule: flexible, work split shifts around your class schedule. The first day of class is our "Black Friday" and applicants should be willing/available to work during that time. Seasonal staff are scheduled to work between 15 and 38 hours a week.
-Training: all training is paid. New hires will need to be available for training in the two weeks BEFORE the first day of Fall classes - Monday August 17th.
*please note*: We are an independent business serving the VCU area since 1986, but we are not an official part of VCU, therefore we do not qualify for
work-study programs or for students with an F1 visa. Qualifications & Desired skills-customer service skills
-attention to detail in a fast paced environment
-ability to perform minor lifting (stocking books, moving boxes with a hand truck, etc)
-strict adherence to our store's COVID-19 health safety policies and procedures (ex: we require all customers and staff to wear face coverings at all times when inside the building. If you do not have a mask, we will provide you with one)
-experience in a college setting preferred but not required
